PDMP hydrochloride
PDMP is a racemic ceramide analog developed as a glucosylceramide synthase inhibitor, with its D-threo enantiomer responsible for the biological activity. This active enantiomer inhibits glycolipid synthesis, showing utility in research on neuroinflammation models like EAE and in studying apoptosis induction in cancer cell lines such as WM-115 melanoma cells in vitro.
