16 (S) -Iloprost

Iloprost is a potent second-generation prostacyclin analog with significantly greater activity than earlier versions like carbaprostacyclin. It binds to IP and EP1 receptors and potently inhibits platelet aggregation. This compound is widely used in cardiovascular and pulmonary hypertension research, including studies of vascular tone and platelet function in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
