SM-1295 is a small molecule IAP antagonist with high affinity for c-IAP1-BIR3 (Kd = 3.2 nM) and c-IAP2-BIR3 (Kd = 9.5 nM), and lower affinity for XIAP-BIR3. It is used in research to study apoptosis regulation and has been applied in both in vitro and in vivo models of cancer.
