Dnp-PLALWAR is a fluorogenic peptide substrate for MMP-1 and MMP-8. Its hydrolysis releases a dinitrophenol quencher, generating a measurable increase in tryptophan fluorescence. This enables sensitive activity assays for these collagenases in both in vitro enzymatic studies and cell-based research models.
