Geranylgeranoic acid (GGA) is a bioactive isoprenoid with demonstrated anticancer properties, selectively inducing apoptosis in hepatoma cell lines via mitochondrial dysfunction and caspase activation. It also acts as a lysine-specific demethylase 1 (LSD1) inhibitor. Research applications include studying apoptosis mechanisms and epigenetic regulation in cancer models.
