Lysine, Acetylated (Acetyl-Lysine)

May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Recognizes Acetylated-Lysine proteins only when post-translationally modified by acetylation on the epsilon-amine groups of lysine residues. Detection of acetylated lysine by this antibody is largely independent of the surrounding amino acid sequence. The antibody has been shown to recognize acetylated proteins including histones, p53, CBP, PCAF and chemically acetylated BSA. Species Crossreactivity: A broad species crossreactivity is expected based on conservation of sequence homology.
