N- (3-hydroxy-7-cis tetradecenoyl) -L-Homoserine lactone

N- (3-hydroxy-7-cis-tetradecenoyl) -L-homoserine lactone is a long-chain acyl-homoserine lactone (AHL) quorum sensing signal. It is used in research to study bacterial communication mechanisms, particularly in Gram-negative bacteria, for applications in microbiology and anti-virulence therapeutic development. Studies in LPS-stimulated macrophages indicate it does not modulate cytokine or antibody production.
