BLX3887 is a potent and selective 15-lipoxygenase-1 (15-LO-1) inhibitor with an IC50 of 32 nM. It selectively suppresses 15-LO metabolite production in eosinophils and inhibits dendritic cell endocytosis and migration in vitro, making it a useful research tool for studying eicosanoid biology and immune cell function.
