Tauro-α-muricholic acid (TαMCA) is a taurine-conjugated bile acid that acts as a farnesoid X receptor (FXR) antagonist (IC50 = 28 μM) . Primarily found in rodents, it is used in research to study bile acid metabolism and FXR signaling pathways in both in vitro and in vivo models.
