TH-162, or (R) -PIA, is a potent and selective A1 adenosine receptor agonist with approximately 100-fold greater affinity than its (+) -isomer. It is widely used in pharmacological research to study adenosine receptor signaling, cardiac function, and neuroprotection in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
