Kynostatin-272 (KNI-272) is a potent and selective inhibitor of the HIV-1 protease. It effectively blocks the proteolytic processing of viral Gag and Gag-Pol polyproteins, thereby inhibiting the maturation of infectious viral particles in both cell-based assays and animal model studies.
