Lapisteride (CS-891) is a steroidal inhibitor of the 5α-reductase enzyme. It is applied in research models for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and androgenetic alopecia (AGA), with studies investigating its mechanism and efficacy in both in vitro enzymatic assays and in vivo preclinical models.
