Storage Conditions
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. Stable for at least 6 months at -20 °C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O, aliquot and store at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Specificity
Under optimal conditions, 1mg protein G will bind approximately 5mg human IgG. Optimal binding of Protein G to antibodies occurs at pH 5.0 to 6.0 and can be eluted over a pH range of 2.5 to 3.0.
