Contezolid acefosamil sodium (MRX-4) is an investigational oral oxazolidinone antibiotic designed to treat drug-resistant Gram-positive bacterial infections, such as cSSTI. It demonstrates potent in vitro and in vivo efficacy while showing a reduced potential for bone marrow toxicity and MAOI side effects compared to earlier drugs in its class.
