12-PAHSA
12-PAHSA is a branched fatty acid ester of hydroxy stearic acid (FAHFA) linked to metabolic health. Its levels are elevated during fasting and in insulin-sensitive models but reduced in obesity. This lipid is used in research to study its anti-inflammatory and insulin-sensitizing effects in metabolic and immunological studies, both in vitro and in vivo.
