Akt, Phosphorylated (Ser473) (Rac PKa, PKBa)

May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Detects endogenous levels of Akt only when phosphorylated at Ser473. Does not detect Akt phosphorylated at other sites or related kinases such as PKC and p70 S6 kinase. Species crossreactivity: Human, hamster, mouse and rat. Expected to cross-react with monkey based on sequence homology.
