17-phenyl trinor Prostaglandin E2 ethyl amide
17-Phenyl trinor PGE2 ethyl amide is a lipid-soluble prodrug of a synthetic prostaglandin E2 analog. Upon tissue uptake, amidases cleave the ethyl amide to release the active acid, a potent agonist at EP1 and EP3 receptors. This compound is used in research on smooth muscle contraction, fertility, and prostaglandin receptor pharmacology in various animal models.
