3'-Sulfo Galactosylsphingosine is a sulfatide metabolite that accumulates in metachromatic leukodystrophy (MLD) . This compound is used as a research standard in LC-MS and is applied in studies investigating MLD pathogenesis, including in vitro models of cell adhesion and migration and in vivo research using ASA-deficient mice.
