Caspase 3, Active (CPP-32, Apoptain, Yama, SCA-1)

May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Recognizes human caspase-3 protein. Detects both pro (~32kD) and the large subunit of the active/cleaved form (~14-21kD) of Caspase-3. The large subunit of the cleaved form may appear as one or two or even as a stack of bands depending on the presence or absence of the Caspase-3 pro-domain. Species Crossreactivity: mouse.
