Claudin 16 (Paracellin 1, CLDN16)

Product Specifications

NCBI Gene ID

10686

Reactivity

Mouse

Storage Conditions

May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Specificity

Recognizes mouse Claudin 16. Immunostaining of frozen mouse kidney sections localizes Claudin 16 to the thick ascending limb (TAL) of Henle's loop. This region was identi ed by an antibody against the Tamm-Horsfall protein, which is also localized to the TAL of Henle's loop in the kidney.
