Antofloxacin
Antofloxacin is a broad-spectrum 8-amino-fluoroquinolone antibiotic with oral activity and good tolerability. It shows potent efficacy against Helicobacter pylori, including gyrA-mutant strains, and is a weak, reversible CYP1A2 inhibitor. This compound is used in research for studying bacterial infections and drug metabolism in both in vitro and in vivo models.
