Nicotinic Receptor, alpha 5

Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 °C. Stable for 12 months at -20 °C. Reconstitute with sterile 10mg/ml BSA in PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 °C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Recognizes Nicotinic alpha5 receptor (aa460-468) and the reactivity of Nicotinic alpha5 receptor is ~95%. Does not react to Nicotinic alpha3 receptor, Nicotinic alpha4 receptor, Nicotinic alpha7 receptor, Nicotinic beta2 receptor, Nicotinic beta3 receptor and Nicotinic beta4 receptor. Specific for the COOH terminal of nicotinic alpha5 receptor.
