Nicotinic Receptor, alpha 4

Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20 °C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Recognizes Nicotinic alpha4 receptor (620-627) and the reactivity of Nicotinic alpha4 receptor is ~80%. Does not react to Nicotinic alpha3 receptor, Nicotinic alpha5 receptor, Nicotinic alpha7 receptor, Nicotinic beta2 receptor, Nicotinic beta3 receptor and Nicotinic beta4 receptor. Specific for the carboxyl terminal of the nicotinic alpha4 receptor.
