Protein Kinase C, Substrate, phosphorylated (Ser) (PKC)

May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Detects phosphorylated serine residues in many cellular proteins at endogenous levels, when those phospho-serine residues are surrounded by Arg or Lys at the -2 and +2 positions and a hydrophobic residue at the +1 position. The antibody does not crossreact with non-phosphorylated serine residues; with phospho-threonine in the same motif; or with phosphoserine in other motifs.
