Akt, Phosphorylated (Ser473) (Rac PKa, PKBa)

May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Detects endogenous levels of Akt1 only when phosphorylated at Ser473. Recognizes Akt2 and Akt3 when phosphorylated at the corresponding residues. Does not recognize Akt phosphorylated at other sites. Does it recognize phosphorylated forms of related kinases such as PKC or p70 S6 kinase. Species Crossreactivity: Human, mouse, rat, hamster, chicken.
