L-AP3 is a selective metabotropic glutamate receptor (mGluR) antagonist, inhibiting D-phosphoserine and L-phosphoserine with IC50 values of 368 μM and 2087 μM, respectively. It is a valuable research tool for studying glutamatergic signaling and mGluR function in both in vitro and in vivo neurological models.
