Parainfluenza Virus Type 3

May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Recognizes all structural antigens of Parainfluenza Virus Type 3. Crossreacts with type 2. Minimal reactivity with type 1. Does not react with HEp-2 cells by indirect immunofluorescence. Some crossreactivity with bovine para-3 (<u><</u>1:400) and canine para (<u><</u>1000).
