Function

Receptor for IL27. Requires IL6ST/GP130 to mediate signal transduction in response to IL27. This signaling system acts through STAT3 and STAT1. Acts as a receptor for the neuroprotective peptide humanin as part of a complex with IL6ST/GP130 and CNTFR (PubMed:19386761). Involved in the regulation of Th1-type immune responses. Also appears to be involved in innate defense mechanisms. {PubMed:14764690, PubMed:19386761}.

Additionnal Information

Immunoblotting: use at 0.5-1 ug/mL. In immunoblots, a band of 70 kD is detected.

Positive control: Human spleen tissue lysate.

Storage Conditions

This antibody is stable for at least one (1) year at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze- thaw cycles.

Specificity

This antibody recognizes an epitope at the C-terminus of human TCCR (T Cell Cytokine Receptor), a member of the type I cytokine receptor family. TCCR deficient mice have impaired responses of T helper cells (Th1) to protein antigens including decreased levels of IFN-g and Th1-dependent antibody production. TCCR is predominantly expressed in thymus, spleen, lymph nodes, and peripheral blood lymphocytes.
