L-Glutamate, Conjugated

May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Using a conjugate L-Glutamate-Glutaraldehyde-Protein, antibody specificity was performed with an ELISA test by competition experiments with the following compounds:<br>Compound cross reactivity Ratio (a) L-Glutamate-PC 1 D-Glutamate-PC 1/>50,000 L-Aspartate-PC 1/>50,000 D-Aspartate-PC 1/>50,000 GABA-PC 1/>50,000<br>(a): Glutamate-PC concentration/other conjugated amino acid concentration at half displacement.<br>Note: The MBS612290 antibody is extremely effective in recognizing conjugated L-glutamate (BSA) and less effective recognizing free L-glutamate.
