May be stored at 4 °C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4 °C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Gold conjugates are light sensitive.

Recognizes whole molecule chicken IgY and the light chains of chicken immunoglobulins. Does not crossreact with non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. Exhibits minimal crossreactivity with bovine, goat, guinea pig, syrian hamster, equine, human, mouse, rabbit, rat and sheep serum proteins. May crossreact with immunoflobulins from other species.
