PXYC1 is a small molecule antagonist of Mycobacterium tuberculosis ribosomal protein S1 (RpsA), binding its C-terminal domain with high affinity (Kd 0.81 μM) . It serves as a valuable research tool for investigating trans-translation inhibition and can be applied in both in vitro biochemical and cellular studies targeting Mtb viability.
