Anti - CABP9K (CALB3, CABP1)
Product Specifications
Gene Name
[CABP9K]
NCBI Gene ID
12309
Reactivity
Human
Storage Conditions
May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Specificity
The peptide is 78% conserved in mouse, rat, bovine and porcine D9K. No significant sequence homology is seen with D28K or other CABPs. Antibody reactivity in various species is not known. Control peptide, because of its low MW (<3kD), is not suitable for Western. It should be used for ELISA or antibody blocking experiments (use 5-10 ug control peptide per 1 ug of aff pure IgG or 1 ul antiserum) to confirm antibody specificity (see below).
