May be stored at 4 °C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4 °C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Gold conjugates are light sensitive.

Recognizes whole molecule guinea pig IgG. Reacts with light chains of other guinea pig immunoglobulins. Not reactive with non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. Minimal crossreactivity with bovine, chicken, goat, hamster, equine, human, mouse, rabbit, rat and sheep serum proteins. May also crossreact with immunoglobulins from other species.
