Storage Conditions

May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. 

Specificity

Recognizes (Mr 300kD) MAP-2 protein from bovine brain. Recognizes the high MW forms (2a & 2b) of MAP-2 but not with the low MW form (2c). Reacts with dendrites and cell bodies of neurons. Species Crossreactivity: human, rat, mouse and chicken brains.
