Prostate Specific Antigen Phosphatase (PSAP)
Product Specifications
NCBI Gene ID
55
Reactivity
Human
Storage Conditions
May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Specificity
Recognizes a protein of 52kD, identified as prostate specific acid phosphatase (PSAP). Highly specific to PSAP and shows no crossreaction with other phosphatases. Reacts with non-neoplastic adult and fetal prostatic glands, primary and metastatic prostatic carcinomas. Does not inhibit the enzymatic activity of PSAP. Species Crossreactivity: Human. Does not react with canine, rabbit and rat.
