Herpes Virus Type 6b (HHV6b)

May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Recognizes a virion protein of 101kD of Human herpes virus 6, B variant. Does not crossreact with HHV-6 A variant. Species Crossreactivity: Shows weak reactivity to cells infected with human CMV in immunofluorescent assays.
