Antitubercular agent-21 (Compound 15) is a selective, low-cytotoxicity small molecule with potent activity against M. tuberculosis H37Rv (MIC = 0.4 μg/mL) . Its utility in tuberculosis research is supported by in vitro studies demonstrating limited efficacy against common Gram-positive, Gram-negative bacteria, and fungi.
