May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Recognizes a neo-epitope on human C3a (des-Arg) that is formed upon cleavage of C3 into C3a and C3b. Recognizes both C3a and C3a-desArg, with at least 5 times higher preference for C3a-desArg.
