Ovalbumin, Denatured
Product Specifications
NCBI Gene ID
396058
Reactivity
Chicken
Storage Conditions
May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Specificity
Recognizes denatured chicken ovalbumin (OA). Reacts with OA in denatured or modified form (surface-adsorbed, heat-denatured or reduced). Strong reaction is seen in ELISA with OA directly coated onto the microtiter well. In Dot Blot reacts with native OA adsorbed onto nitrocellulose. In Western Blot (overnight) after SDS-PAGE, reacts with OA in both reduced and non-reduced forms. Epitope differs from O8075-34 and O8075-35 due to lack of mutual inhibition of antigen binding.
