Product Specifications
NCBI Gene ID
8534
Reactivity
Bovine, Canine, Human, Mouse, Porcine, Sheep
Storage Conditions
May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Specificity
Recognizes 2-3 disaccharide units on both skeletal (type II) and corneal (type I) keratan sulfate chains either in isolated or proteoglycan-bound form. The epitope is resistant to proteolytic or alkaline cleavages and is partially sensitive to keratanase or other endo-b-galactosidase treatment. Species Crossreactivity: human, bovine, sheep, porcine, canine and mouse (adult). No crossreactivity with chicken limb bud proteoglycans, dermatan sulfate proteoglycans of cartilage and proteoglycans of rat chondrosarcomas
