Valganciclovir
Valganciclovir is a ganciclovir prodrug used as an antiviral against cytomegalovirus (CMV) . It acts as a competitive inhibitor of peptide transporters PEPT1 and PEPT2 in vitro. Clinical research shows it is effective for pre-emptive therapy and prophylaxis, preventing CMV reactivation in immunocompromised patients.
