Vutiglabridin
Vutiglabridin (HSG4112) is a novel, brain-penetrant racemic modulator of mitochondrial paraoxonase 2 (PON2) . This optimized Glabridin analogue shows efficacy in preclinical models, ameliorating MPTP-induced neurodegeneration in Parkinson's disease mice and MPP+-induced cytotoxicity in SH-SY5Y cells. It is also in clinical Phase 2 trials for obesity.
