Postsynaptic Density Protein 95 (PSD-95, PSD95, Discs Large Homolog 4, DLG4, Post-synaptic Density Protein 95, Synapse-associated Protein 90, SAP90, SAP-90)

Reacts with recombinant rat PSD-95 and identifies a band at approximately 95kD, corresponding to PSD-95, on immunoblots of rat brain, mouse brain and bovine brain extracts. Also present in rat brain and mouse brain tissue extracts are bands of approximately 80kD and 50kD. PSD-95 is believed to initiate NMDA receptor clustering on the post synaptic membrane.
