α-NETA is a small molecule inhibitor of choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) and an antagonist of ALDH1A1 and CMKLR1. It exhibits anti-cancer activity and has shown efficacy in preclinical models of diabetic nephropathy, reducing renal injury markers, body weight, and blood glucose in STZ-induced diabetic mice.
