TbPTR1 inhibitor 1
TbPTR1 inhibitor 1 (compound 5d) is a potent and selective small molecule inhibitor of Trypanosoma brucei pteridine reductase 1 (TbPTR1), exhibiting an IC50 of <0.1 nM against the enzyme and an EC50 of 0.66 μM against the parasite. This compound is a valuable chemical tool for studying folate metabolism in trypanosomes and for anti-trypanosomal drug discovery research in both in vitro and in vivo models.
