Mt KARI-IN-5

Mt KARI-IN-5 (compound 6c) is a potent and selective inhibitor of Mycobacterium tuberculosis ketohydrin reductase I (MtbKARI), exhibiting an inhibitory constant (Ki) of 4.72 μM. It demonstrates potent antitubercular activity against Mtb H37Rv with a MIC of 1.56 μM and shows low cytotoxicity in HEK cells (IC50 >64 μg/mL) . This inhibitor is a valuable tool compound for studying MtbKARI function in tuberculosis drug discovery research, applicable in both enzymatic and whole-cell assays.
