NW 1028 is a selective small molecule inhibitor targeting the ND1L domain of VCP/p97, blocking its ATPase activity and substrate degradation. This tool compound is used in vitro and in vivo to study p97-dependent processes in cancer research, protein homeostasis, and cell cycle regulation, including mitotic spindle function.
