Sarpogrelate (MCI-9042) is an orally active, selective 5-HT2 receptor antagonist. It inhibits platelet aggregation and is used in research on thrombosis and vascular diseases, such as Buerger's disease, with applications in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
