CB2 receptor antagonist 1

This series of resorcinol derivatives includes potent cannabinoid receptor ligands for research. Hexyl derivative 29 acts as a selective CB2 competitive antagonist/reverse agonist. Olivanol and 5- (2-methyloctane-2-yl) resorcinol (23, 24) show significant antinociceptive activity, with compound 24 functioning as a dual cannabinoid/TRPV1 receptor agonist.
