Tau-aggregation and neuroinflammation-IN-1 is a potent dual-action compound that inhibits both tau protein aggregation (including AcPHF6 and full-length tau) and neuroinflammation by reducing NO release. It exhibits low cytotoxicity in BV2 microglial cells and has been shown to reverse memory deficits in an okadaic acid-induced rat model of neurodegeneration.
